The iSCAPE Mid-term event “Urban air quality: designing and implementing effective control strategies” took  place in Bologna on the 10 May 2018.

During the event, practitioners and renowned researchers such as Prof. Akula Venkatram, University of California, Dr John Saffell, Alphasense Ltd, Dr Vlad Isakov, US EPA and Dr Mara Balestrini, Ideas for Change, shared state-of-the-art findings and recommended approaches for improving the control of air pollution and mitigation of the negative impacts of climate change.

Our panel of experts discussed the implications of passive control systems and behavioral change on urban air quality. They also identified challenges and opportunities for the low-cost sensor development and sensor application to tackle air pollution.
